Early 20th Century Hand Made Navajo Cloth Folk Art Dolls


Nice detail on these Navajo dolls. Their shirts are made with velvet, pants and skirt with muslin. Hand painted faces, tin belts to replicate concho belts (the man's has a real silver concho in the front. They are both wearing moccasins, (the woman has leggings as well), and they both are wearing beads, and the woman has bead earrings. The man is wearing a headband as was typically worn by Navajo men.
