Squash Blossom Necklace with Turquoise 26"

$1,850.00

Sterling silver squash blossom necklace with graduated silver beads, 8 squash blossoms and silver and turquoise central Naja. The Naja, meaning crescent in the Navajo language, is an ancient symbol of protection in the shape of arms encircling (they often feature hands at the ends but this one has turquoise cabochons). This necklace was Navajo made at the Bell Trading Post in Albuquerque, circa 1950.

The full length is 26" but can be adjusted to be shorter by placing the hook further up on the chain.
