Ralph Tawangyaouma (1894-1972 Hopi). Active 1910-1964. An early and pioneering Hopi silversmith, he worked with silver for about 20 years before using his mark for the first time around 1930. He worked in various shops in Phoenix and Tucson, AZ in the early 1960s (including Vaughn's Indian Store, Ollie Kilpatrick's Trading Post, Santa Rita Indian Shop [with nephew Allen Pooyouma] and Fred Wilson's Indian Trading Post) for about 35 years.
