Masterfully made large squash blossom necklace made with high grade turquoise. According to the sticker placed on the back by the original owners, it was purchased at a Trading Post in Gallup, New Mexico in the 1930s. It is attributed to Zuni artists Warren and Doris Ondelacy. The diamond shaped stones set in the middle of each blossom, and the stones set like exclamation marks in the large Naja, show a refined sense of artistry. The necklace is made with two strands of silver beads, each bead being finished to show no seams. The closure is a hook clasp at the back. Also on the back side of the Naja is a 6 digit inventory number, which may indicate it spent some time in a museum.
Over all weight is 274 grams
