Beautifully made Navajo heavy ingot silver cuff with simple stamping and file work. This piece was collected by a man who often made business trips to New Mexico and Arizona between 1905 and 1920, and purchased this bracelet during that time. Living back east, he never wore the bracelet, and his daughter who inherited it, found it to be too large for her wrist, which has given me the opportunity to offer it here! There is a piece, that no doubt is made by the same maker, with the deeply filed grooves, rounded center, and identical stamping along the edges, included in Paula Baxter's book 'Navajo and Pueblo Jewelry Design 1870-1945' page 150. I have included a photo of the page for reference. Size 7. Weight: 60 grams
Inside length, end to end: 5 3/4"
Gap between ends: 1 1/4"
Width 3/4"
