Uniquely crafted early ingot cuff. The bowed split band has 3 hand cut flat top turquoise cabochons set on stamped overlaid rectangular plates. The cold chiseled hatch marks and the linear ridges give a basket like quality. Circa 1900-1915
*At one point, the owner had his social security number inscribed on the inside (see 5th photo). The origin is New York and the numeric code indicates it was one of the earliest social security numbers issued between 1936-38. This was a common practice on valued items in case of theft.
