Excellence in silversmithing is how I would describe Navajo silversmith Ike Wilson's work. The outer split bands of the bracelet have been perfectly hand carinated, while the central band is flat, and the ends are perfectly stamped with his unique heart stamp. I also love the extra care taken to stamp the buttons that frame the central stone. Isaac "Ike" Wilson (1901-1942) was a well known and highly regarded Navajo silversmith, having worked for Kelsey Trading Company for seventeen years and also doing work for traders C.G. Wallace and John D. Kennedy Sr. He won multiple awards at the Gallup Inter-tribal Ceremonial. Ike sometimes worked with his wife Katherine uwho was a silversmith in her own rite.
This piece is signed with his bow and arrow hallmark.
