The use of figural Indian chief heads on bracelet terminals, and spoon ends, started in the late 1800s for the tourist trade. This cuff has precisely done hand stamp work, including whirling logs, a symbol that was used in Native American designs up until World War II, at which time Native artisans signed a proclamation to discontinue using the symbol. This ingot bracelet is made from coin silver and weighs 26 grams.
