During the early 20th century one of the favored bracelets for Navajo's personal wear was made using 2 carinated bands with twisted wire running through the center. They would then overlay it with Turquoise cabochons, often on silver plates with stamping such as this one. This particular bracelet has very unusual serrated edges on the plates. There is one similar to it in Henry Mera's book 'Indian Silverwork of the Southwest Vol 1', pg. 33, Plate 8.
You can also see circled radiant stamps on the twisted wire at the backside of the bracelet. Chevrons and crescent shapes are stamped on the carinated bands at top and bottom. Circa 1910-1920. Weight: 46 grams
Inside length end to end: 5 1/4"
Gap between ends: 1 3/8"
Width: 1/2"
