David Dear is of Anglo/Cherokee decent and has been working as a silversmith since 1969. His works can be found in the Museum of New Mexico, Wheelwright Museum Collections, and in the photo archives of the Smithsonian. This design is cast silver, each concho weighing 50 grams. The total weight of the belt is 482 grams. His workmanship is precise of the highest quality, and in this case borrows from an art deco style. This design he calls Chrome Dome. It is made of .925 sterling silver, as you can see in the stamp just below his signature. A stunning addition to any collection. The leather belt is well worn but sturdy, and of course can easily be replaced. Fits size 34-38, but if you need it smaller, I can adjust it by pushing the conchos closer together and adding more holes to the belt if you let me know the size needed.
