Antique Whiteheart Trade Bead Necklace with Navajo Snake Pendant

Antique silver and glass trade beads with contemporary Navajo snake pendant. These red beads are called whitehearts, due to their white center and were heavily traded in the 18th and 19th centuries. The snake pendant was made by Navajo silversmith Fritson Toledo.

This necklace is 26" long and fits over the head.
